Week 1- Ethics in Research

This week I learned a tremendous amount about ethics in research through my RCR module online training course. Ethics in research is critical in upholding the foundation of science and the publics' view of science and how that view can affect everyone. If scientists are not upholding ethical standards then not only will the credibility of their research come into question but also their career and reputation overall could be ruined. Ethics in research involves many things. Ethical methods aim to prevent fabricating, falsifying, or misrepresenting data. It also aims to hold scientist accountable for any wrong doing and to maintain fairness and respect between fellow researchers for collaborative purposes which are critical to scientific research.
