After all the fear and anticipation the WAESO conference was actually really nice and I am so glad we went. It was not as big as i thought it would be and honestly our posters looked amazing! Just how the poster is printed out makes a huge difference. Ours stood out. We are not sure if any of our poster have been recognized, we are waiting for an email. Even if they are not, we definitely leaned alot so the experience alone was well worth it. The guest speaker were incredibly inspiring and now I'm actually excited to go to the next conference. Once again, shout out to my wonderful team, Ibrahim, Kassy, and Dr. Cotter! Job well done!

Hey Maria! I'm so glad you had the opportunity to attend this year's WAESO conference. From what I remembered, I learned a lot from not only the other participants but also from the guest speaker. The guest speaker at last years conference gave me the motivation and inspiration to move forward with STEM, and I'm glad you thought so too. Your poster looks great! Good job to you and the rest of the squad :)
ReplyDeleteMaria, I am genuinely happy to hear that you had a great time at the conference! If I would have been able to see your group’s presentation, I’m sure it would have been awesome. You seem dedicated and committed to your project and that can definitely be shown through your poster (it’s so neat!).
ReplyDeleteMaria,
ReplyDeleteThat’s so awesome! I wish I could’ve gone to see what these conferences are like. I’m really glad you got some experience under your belt. Your poster looks really good, you guys should definitely be proud of it. As far as fearing the conference, I can understand that. In the military, I would often get nervous having to do ceremonies are meets with high ranking officers (though our General is nice). At the end of the day everyone around us, regardless of titles, are people like you and I. Don’t be worried, you’re doing great and heading in the right direction!
That sounds so exciting Maria! Y'all have been working so hard and Dr. Cotter is a great mentor! I really hope that y'all get recognized for your poster. You'll have to keep us all updated on any news you get back! Keep on rockin'!
ReplyDeleteHi Maria,
ReplyDeleteIt seems like you guys did an amazing job on your poster. These conferences are not only a wonderful opportunity to share your research but to network with others in your field. As you go to more of these, you'll find the academic and professional communities are so supportive, especially if you're a student. Often, they exchange contact information to talk more about your project. Sometimes to share similar projects they have worked on or to help you with yours.
